Cusomized one year training track developed for corporations seeking to engage and collaborate with educational faculty and a qualified set of students for technology and media product concepts, video game testing or development, augmented and virtual reality and other emerging fields of practical research and prototyping.
TIME LENGTH: 1 year
We seek out and invite the highest performing technology and media students to apply. You must love solving problems using strategic and creative methods.
We handle all the hiring paperwork and depending on the educational institution, any internship credit.
Beware! This is REAL-WORLD WORK that is HARD, and only the best students make it through with high scores.
Throughout an internship, you will be scored on your objectives in achieving best practices that save time and money. These best practices will give you an extra edge in the job marketplace.
We only offer paid mentorships. We believe that if you are doing great work, you should get paid since you brought value to the sponsoring company. Secondly, we have seen the treads and know that many of you are suffering from student loan debt.
For the duration of the mentorship you will be a paid independent contractor within the studio. Any work you create for a company in a development contract will belong to the sponsoring company.
We match the right professional mentors to you to curate an optimal real-world learning experience that provides you with solid results in technology development and media creation.
If you are a part of a Showdown, you will also be on a live-stream TV show.
We heard your request for housing. Currently, we do not offer housing but we are working on solutions for future mentorships. As to foreign students, right now we are focused on U.S. Citizens.
We heard your request for remote work. Right now if you are on a Showdown, you have to be on-site due to the TV cameras capturing your experience. For One-off Mentorships and Apprenticeship Mentorships, we will seek to offer remote options.
While we focus on college students, we do accept recent grads and individuals with serious grit and good portfolios who are over the age of 18 years-old. In the future, we hope to offer mentorships for high schoolers as well as adults seeking new job training.
Our goal is to see value brought to companies through work that is developed during the internship. After the mentorship, the sponsoring company has the option to hire you on or to continue working with you through the studio.
